MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard ethernet is not working after lightning strike.
Last week I had a lightning strike hit my house and it fried all of the Dish boxes, including the tv's connected to them. It also burnt up the Dish internet router. The replacement router came in today and the ethernet connection won't work on my computer. The computer is a custom build with an i7-4790k on an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 mobo running Windows 10. I've tried switching ports on the router as well as using a different cable with no luck. The other computer works fine on a hardline. My computer is saying there is no network adapter and can't find anything to connect to. I've tried restoring the system to a previous date as well as using a usb with the updated drivers. The Orange light on the back is solid Orange and stays on even when the computer is off, only goes out if I shut the PSU off. The green activity light won't come on at all either. The BIOS overview shows that the ethernet port is blacked out and disconnected. I'm pretty sure the NIC is done for, but any extra troubleshooting tips or a where to get a nice network adapter to put in would be much appreciated. Thank you.
